So much of the game comes down to coaching. We know teams need to be prepared for games and be willing to adjust and switch their plans. Sometimes the strategy of the game becomes even more interesting than the game itself. Lets take a look at the two coaches for this game.
Nick Sirianni has an impressive coaching resume after taking over for the Eagles in 2021. So far, he has won about 70% of the games with the team, running his record to 61-26 and a 6-4 playoff record, including the 2024 Super Bowl Championship. This was a big rebound after the team lost to the Chiefs in 2022.Â
In his first five seasons, the Eagles have made the playoffs each year. He has been a two-time NFC Champion and won the NFC East three times. Thats a resume that any head coach would be interested in having. Sirianni has a strong offensive background, coming from the Colts, where he was the offensive coordinator.
Lately, it seems like the Bears have changed coaches like a lot of people change their underwear. It seems like they had a new coach almost every season. They do seem to have found a good one in Ben Johnson, and his first stop as head coach of the team. Johnson went 11-6 in his first year as the head coach.
Johnson also led the team to their first NFC North division championship since 2018. He coached the team to victory over the Packers before losing to the Rams in the playoffs. Before taking this job, he was lauded for the great offense the Detroit Lions had from 2022-2024.Â
